*Members issues is an opportunity for any member (if they wish to) to raise any local, national or international  issue that is of concern to them. By doing this it will help focus future campaigns and perhaps identify areas where we could arrange for a speaker to attend and provide the basis for a discussion at a branch meeting.

Teignmouth Labour Party

Chair: Rowland Thomas. Vice-Chair Terry Bannon. Secretary Malcolm Tipper.

Treasurer: Mike Mills. Press Officer: Lorraine Kelly.

3.         Branch AGM Monday October 24th

This is an early reminder, an agenda and last year’s minutes will be circulated. The Executive Officers of the Branch are:

Press/Media Officer

Local Government Campaign Coordinator

We would very much welcome nominations for all of these posts for 2016/17 especially from women in the branch as 50% at least of the Executive should comprise women. If you require any information about any of the posts please contact the Secretary.

In addition we will also be seeking nominations for branch representatives to the General Committee(GC) of the Newton Abbot Constituency group, this group traditionally meets once a month on a Thursday evening with meetings rotating between Dawlish, Teignmouth and Newton Abbot. The Branch Secretary is automatically a member but there are two other places and we may also be eligible to nominate an additional female delegate and a young (16-24 years) Labour delegate.

Please give some thought to standing for any of the Executive posts or as a GC Delegate.

Malcolm Tipper
Branch Secretary
